EastSide Tourism ...Pushing Boundaries

Head east of the River Lagan and you’ll find yourself in EastSide. The beating heart of Belfast’s industrial past, this down-to-earth neighbourhood is thriving once as again. It's now as a hub for creativity, arts, design and alternative thinking where the past sits comfortably alongside it's progressive spirit. Former linen mills now house renowned craft breweries and start-up businesses and contemporary artists. You can even enjoy casual, modern dining in repurposed shipping containers in C.S. Lewis Square and browse vinyl records in 'Banana Block', part of a re-purposed linen mill complex.

EastSide is also leading the charge in environmentally focused urban development, boasting an unparalleled network of Greenways and dedicated cycling infrastructure. Easily reached by foot, bike or Glider from the city Ccentre or Titanic Quarter, EastSide's streets give you a glimpse of both our troubled past and the genuine warmth of local people who are proud of their neighbourhood and it's past but share optimism for the future.

VisitEastSide.com has been developed by EastSide Tourism, a subsidiary company of EastSide Partnership. EastSide Tourism aims to coordinate and deliver responsible, sustainable and impactful culture-led regeneration, pushing boundaries to put east Belfast on the map. Our regenerative tourism development work focuses on four key priority areas:

  3. Creating Experiences unique to east Belfast, to enhance our city’s visitor offering and maximise the socio-economic impact of tourism on both people and place.
