Punk Threatens No One

Punk Threatens No One

Punk Threatens No One brings together, in one night, three bands to watch out for in NI’s music scene. Belfast-based Problem Patterns (‘a bunch of women screaming in a room’), Strangle New Places (‘right-on radicals with low self-esteem’) and, Gender Chores (‘just some heavily caffeinated punks with a double dose of DIY riot-grrrl’).

High energy, high octane and high volume; expect a night of politically informed, socially attuned, and unapologetically vocal punk to shake up your Thursday. Grab some cans and join us at The Vault to set the world to rights!

Gender Chores

Gender Chores is Sam, Sophie and AJ. The music is informed and noisy and assertive. Their domain is the north of Ireland where bigotry and intolerance exist in the highest political offices. Gender Chores attack those failings with rage and wit.

Problem Patterns

Self-described as a bunch of women screaming in a room, Problem Patterns is a four-piece DIY feminist queerpunk band from Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Strange New Places

Strange New Places is a Belfast-based band of right-on radicals with low self-esteem. The queerpunk five-piece are often found singing about gender, sexuality and life under capitalism, and how those intersect with anxiety, depression, and a perpetual fear of talking to girls.
