Templemore Baths Heritage Experience
Templemore Baths Heritage Experience
Re-opened after a huge restoration project in August 2023, Templemore Baths Heritage Centre is a new visitor experience rooted in the Victorian era. Bursting with Titanic and Belfast shipyard history, the heritage centre sits alongside the modern swimming and leisure facilities. Located on Belfast's Templemore Avenue, 1mile / 1.6km east of the city centre, it is the only remaining Victorian public bathhouse on the Island of Ireland. It now stands proud and lovingly restored. The 'slipper baths' and 'minor pool' form the core of the exhibition and tours. A team of expert local guides will help you dive deep into this building's fascinating story. You can also visit self-guided for free, 7 days a week between the hours of 9am - 5pm.
Scheduled public guided tours run: Tues, Thu, Sat & Sun - book here
Private Group tours can arranged by prior request - enquire here

The former courtyard area of the old Victorian Templemore Baths building has been transformed into a bright modern atrium. EastSide Partnership's Heritage Assistants will meet you here for guided tours, information and a general welcome. The attractive new atrium, still features the original Victorian fountain (complete with 'frozen' goldfish*... it's a good story!) restored as its centrepiece.
Leisure facilities
Alongside the heritage experience, the ‘major pool’ is once again fully operational and a smart newly built 28,000 square foot extension has more than doubled the original building's footprint. It includes modern leisure facilities including a 25m six-lane swimming pool with spectator seating, an 80-station gym and spa facilities. As a civic amentity the modern pool and fitness centre is owned by Belfast City Council and managed by social enterprise GLL - Better Leisure.
